Job Title: Full Crews 

Position Overview:
CSI Powerline is seeking a skilled Full Crews to join our team! This position involves the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The role requires travel to various locations and may include out-of-state assignments based on customer needs.
📍 Location: San Angelo, Texas
🗓 Schedules: Choose between Monday–Friday or 8 days on / 6 days off
💵 Per Diem: $150/day

Essential Functions:

  • Safely perform new construction, maintenance, or repair of energized and de-energized overhead work.
  • Lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman.
  • String overhead wire and set poles/anchors.
  • Install transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
  • Troubleshoot primary and secondary system issues.
  • Replace cutout fuses and clear faulted circuits and systems.
  • Work with energized high-voltage systems safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
  • Identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.
  • Follow proper grounding procedures and induced voltage safety.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
  • Properly install and remove PPE and cover-up.
  • Climb various structures (wood, steel, etc.) with necessary tools.
  • Phase out a line using phasing sticks.
  • Plan safe work procedures based on job prints or work orders.
  • Obtain a one-shot on a recloser and perform safe reconductoring jobs.
  • Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.
  • Work live high-voltage distribution power lines using appropriate gloves.
  • Safely install and remove mechanical jumpers and use load-bust tools.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Work outdoors, often in inclement weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of recent field experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 60 days of employment (CDL preferred).
  • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various locations.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and properly inspect rubber goods and PPE.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, using hands/fingers, reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
  • Working in extreme weather conditions at construction job sites.
  • High noise levels in work environments.
